Part Two (Revised)

Part Two (Revised)
Part Two
Ok, so I noticed that Jared isn't too fond of the list not really being in order. So I decided to type all I need to type out as far as the 100 songs go and Ill put em in order after its all done.

90. Dir En Grey- Obscure
Watch the video first before reading what else I have to say about it. Of course most people want understand what its saying because its Japanese. However, once I tell you that its a song about anti-abortion.... the video makes a ton more sense. I sorta have a thing for tunes that change during the course tempo and what not during the course of a song, as well as have a soft spot for death metal roaring. Who doesnt want to see an Asian death metal roaring? I know I do.

89. Primus- Wynona's Big Brown Beaver
Les Claypool is a bass god. We dont need me to say this, everyone knows this. This video, however, is frightening with the cowboys and the what nots.

88. System of a Down- Metro
I'm in love with Serj. I stated this before. He is my vocal god. One of the handful of songs I'll catch myself singing along with. I strongly urge everyone to listen to this song.

87. Moody Blues- Nights in White Satin
So over-the-top. So melodramatic. Quintessential Moody Blues.

86. Taproot- Day by Day
For some strange reason, I thought Taproot was a band that'd I would catagorize as "Linkin Parkish". Shame on me.

85. Cream- Sunshine of your Love
Wow. Just wow. I love the song so much. And my love for this song amplified when I swear that my two finches chirped this riff. Dont believe me, ask Kate. Either way, I dont recall this on another list. And it definitely needs to be on someone's. I will proudly display you, Cream!

84. Jethro Tull- Aqualung
Simple ass hell riff. All to disturbing lyrics. Must be Jethro Tull. However, I thoroughly enjoy Tull. They are amazing at what they do. Everyone knows the riff, might not know who the hell Jethro Tull is... but EVERYONE knows the riff.

83. Jimi Hendrix- Foxy Lady
Sex on the guitar, thats what this song is.

82. KMFDM- A Drug Against War
I am a sucker for industrial 90s rock. Guilty as charged. I was in high school during the last part of the 90s. I suffered the rest of my years there with horrible post 2000 rock. Don't get me wrong, not all of it is bad. But if you are old enough to remember awesome music, you'll agree that not one band now holds a candle to the 70s, 80s and 90s :) And though Im sure that they use a drum machine during the song, it still kicks some ass.

81. Uriah Heep- Easy Livin'
Ultra catchy. Another fun song to listen to on a long drive.

More to come!

First blog ever. (Revised)

First blog ever.
I've never blogged before, so I apologize ahead of time if this is terrible. I recently moved into the house of my beloved David and his wonderful friend Ken, and through them I met a few amazing people. Jared came up with the idea of a top 100 rock songs list, and though I'm not particularly knowledgeable as far as outlandish and some what underground music... I decided to do one. I hope you all enjoy the list, maybe you'll come across a song or two you forget, discovered and enjoyed yourself.
So here's my first 10 songs:

100. Poison- Talk Dirty To Me
Ok, I am not a fan of Poison. Mainly because I feel that long exposures of Bret Micheals will inadvertedly give me an STD, or turn me into a penis coozie. Both of which I do not want. However, CiCi Deville's prowess on the guitar just simply cannot be ignored. He's my favorite celebrity trainwreck. So much so that I am seriously tempted to get a tattoo of him somewhere on my anatomy. That being said, thats the only Poison song I can stomach.

99. Norman Greenbaum- Spirit in the Sky
Im not the biggest fan of hippies. They did have some rockin' tunes though. This song is now going to be in my head for the rest of the week.

98. Motley Crue- Dont Go Away Mad
Ok, I'm not the biggest Crue fan to walk the earth. Im not a close 1 billionth for that matter. But this song cracks me up. And Tommy Lee sporting a half shaven mullet and an army green fanny pack, while clad in leggings just adds to the hilarity of the situation.

97. Styx- Mr. Roboto
Speaking of bands that have messages in their songs, Styx is good like that. And though I don't condone rock opera's, Dennis DeYoung has a set of pipes on him.

96. Moody Blues- Tuesday Afternoon
Moody Blues rocks. I'll fight anyone that thinks differently.

95. Uriah Heep- Dreammare
My dad loves Heep. And I sorta adopted that love. And though I never claimed to be the biggest fan of them, and I dont know too many of thier tunes, I dont have a bad thing to say about them.

94. Girugamesh- Owari to Mirai
Another Japanese band. Its kinda poppy, but I like it none the less. Its different from the normal stuff I usually listen to. So I thought I'd slap it on here.

93. Powerman 5000- When World's Collide
Rob Zombie's lil' brother proves himself a contender in the rock world, in my humble opinion

92. Godhead ft. Marilyn Manson- Break You Down
I toss in another song from Dracula 2000. Hey! Its got a great soundtrack, dont judge me. Its almost tribal-esque sound to it makes it very catchy. And though I am not the biggest Manson fan, he doesnt overshadow Godhead with his presence. He adds what he needs to and thats it.

91. White Stripes- Black Math
I had a crush on Jack White for a long time. I found out he isn't so pretty. But boy howdy, does that guy know how to make some music. And the fact that he includes his ex-wife in the band, though she isn't particularly good at the drums, it really sounds good. Minimalists drumming for dummies ftw! And they both agreed that if ANYTHING happened to the other, they would let White Stipes go. Which is better than milkin' that cash cow for all its worth in my humble opinion.

So there it is. I didn't put too much thought to the order. Its more like, I'll add em as they come to mind. I hope you enjoyed the list thus far and I'll add more as soon as possible :) Have a wonderful day and subscribed to my blog! :D
Take care of yourself!
